Robotics Engineer
SKEYEBOTS | Bangalore, India | Full-Time

About SKEYEBOTS
SKEYEBOTS builds AI-driven autonomous systems for unmanned platforms operating across aerial, ground, and maritime environments — systems where reliability is mission-critical, and failure is not an option. We are a well-funded, rapidly scaling deep-tech organisation building some of the most demanding autonomous technology being developed in India today.

The Role
This is a multi-domain role for an engineer who wants to learn rapid, contribute across the stack, and grow into a specialist. You will work across software development, hardware integration, field operations, and system testing — getting hands-on exposure to computer vision, perception, motion planning, embedded systems, and autonomous platform deployment in a single role.
If you are sharp, eager, and want your work to matter from day one, this is where you start.

What You'll Work On
Software feature development across computer vision, perception pipelines, and motion planning modules
Sensor fusion across camera, LiDAR, IMU, and GNSS for perception and state estimation
Localization and mapping support using SLAM or visual-inertial odometry stacks
Obstacle detection and avoidance feeding into the planning layer
Sensor and camera calibration to keep perception accurate in the field
Data collection, annotation, and model training pipelines for real-world autonomous systems
Integration testing and end-to-end system validation on physical autonomous platforms
Drone field operations — including pre-flight checks, mission execution, and post-flight analysis (DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate sponsored if not already held)
Ground control station operation and mission planning using QGroundControl or equivalent
GUI development and tooling using Qt/QML (training provided if needed)
Hardware-software integration support alongside the hardware engineering team
Simulation-based testing in Gazebo or equivalent SITL environments

What We're Looking For

Required
B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science,

Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline where both software and hardware are covered
0–2 years of professional or project-level experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or embedded software
Working knowledge of Python; basic familiarity with C++ is a plus
Understanding of fundamental robotics and computer vision concepts
Basic ROS or ROS2 exposure — coursework, personal projects, or internships count
Linux and Git proficiency
Hands-on project work demonstrating real hardware or software build experience — not just theory

Preferred
Exposure to computer vision libraries: OpenCV, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 nodes, topics, and basic navigation stacks
Qt/QML experience for GUI or HMI development
DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate (we will sponsor this if not held)
Experience with simulation environments: Gazebo, AirSim, or equivalent
Basic understanding of flight controllers: PX4, ArduPilot, or MAVLink
Hands-on experience with embedded platforms: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, or similar

What You'll Get
Direct exposure to a full autonomous systems stack — hardware, firmware, CV, planning, and integration — in a single role
Mentorship from experienced engineers and industry experts across India and internationally
Field experience operating and testing real autonomous platforms
A fast track to specialisation in your strongest area as the team grows
The opportunity to contribute to autonomous systems operating in environments where the stakes are real

Location
Bangalore, Karnataka — full-time, onsite. Travel to Kochi and field test sites as required.

How to Apply
Send your CV and a brief note — a robotics, embedded, or software project you have built, what you were trying to solve, and what you learned when it did not work — to LinkedIn Easy Apply .
We review applications on a rolling basis. Strong profiles hear from us within a week.

SKEYEBOTS is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate candidates solely on capability, curiosity, and drive.
