Role Title: Specialist and Senior Specialist-SAP TM

Experience: 5–10+ years SAP technical experience; 5+ years in SAP TM technical development.

Location: Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai/Noida/Hyderabad (Resource should be from these locations only, so that if onboarded they need to collect the laptop and credentials from respective locations only)

Required Skills : SAP TM with BOPF is Mandatory along with ABAP, FPM, and FBI.

Role Overview
The SAP TM Technical Principal Lead is responsible for leading the technical architecture, development, and integration of SAP Transportation Management within S/4HANA or standalone TM. This role leads technical designs, oversees development teams, ensures adherence to development standards, and supports complex enhancements, performance optimization, and interface enablement.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Solution Design & Development Leadership

• Lead end-to-end technical architecture and development for SAP TM (Embedded or 9.6).
• Own WRICEF design (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) for all TM objects.
• Perform complex development using:
o ABAP OO / BOPF
o CDS Views / AMDP
o Enhancements & BADIs
o TM-specific PPF actions, charge calculation enhancements, optimizer BAdIs
• Build and review technical specifications, code review checklists, and reusable frameworks.
• Lead TM extensibility using SAP BTP, RAP model, and Cloud SDK where applicable.

Integration Responsibilities

• Design and build TM interfaces using:
o ALE/IDoc frameworks
o CPI Integration Suite
o PI/PO mappings
o SOAP/REST APIs, OData services
• Ensure seamless integration with EWM, SD/MM, Finance, carrier systems, freight exchanges,



and external logistics providers.
• Develop error-handling, monitoring dashboards, and performance tuning for high-volume transportation data flows.

UI/UX & Fiori Development
• Lead development of SAP TM Fiori apps (Freight Order, FU, Planning apps, collaboration apps).
• Develop custom SAPUI5 applications integrated with TM BOPF data.
• Enhance standard TM Fiori applications with extensions and custom logic.

Data & Migration
• Lead data conversion for TM master data & transactional data:
o Locations, Resources, Schedules
o Business Partners
o Transportation Zones
o Rate tables & charge profiles
• Design ETL logic using ABAP, BODS, CPI-DS, or custom frameworks.

Delivery Leadership
• Lead junior developers and offshore technical teams.
• Participate in architecture reviews, performance assessments, and quality gates.
• Support SIT/UAT cycles, defect resolution, cutover preparation, and hypercare.

Skills Set to Possess
• Robust expertise in ABAP OO, BOPF, CDS, AMDP, and data modeling in S/4HANA.
• Deep technical knowledge of SAP TM architecture, frameworks, and enhancement points.
• Strong ALE/IDoc experience and CPI/PI integration concepts.
• Strong Fiori/UI5, OData, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, RESTful services.
• Experience with TM planning logic, charge management frameworks, PPF, and execution BOPF nodes.
• Experience in RISE with SAP, Cloud ALM, and Git-enabled CTS preferred.
• Proven ability to lead technical workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications
• SAP ABAP or SAP TM Technical certification.
• Experience with SAP BTP, Event Mesh, API Management.
• Logistics and supply chain domain knowledge.
