Job Description

Implement and configu re Vertex tax eng ine (O Series or Cloud) for Sales & Use Tax per requirement
Knowledge of Technical Integration of Vertex with ERP platforms such as SAP ECC, S/4HANA
7+ years in VERTEX O-Series 9.0, Vertex Q Series consulting experience of SAP Finance with VERTEX US Tax Knowledge
Taxability Driver knowledge is required
Create Tax Rules as requested, experience in Vertex customization, master data, and Tax Journal reporting
Customize current taxpayers (SAP company codes) for projects
Coordinate with Tax, IT, and Finance teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Monitor and troubleshoot tax calculation and integration issues across systems




Analyze business transactions and apply accurate tax rules and logic for determination
Lead system testing (unit, integration, UAT) and provide training to users
Maintain documentation on configuration, rule logic, and support processes
Ensure compliance with U.S. and global sales and use tax regulations
Support tax compliance processes including reporting, exemption certificate management, and returns
Customer Tax Exemption Certificate Validity Pricing Errors on Sales Orders Taxability of Procurement Taxability Drivers (ex-Purchase Class (SAP Material Group) and Purchase Class + Usage Class (SAP Cost Center Category
