CCR Operator – Job Description (Manufacturing Industry)

Role Overview

The CCR (Central Control Room) Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling plant operations from the control room to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient production. The role involves real-time supervision of process parameters, coordination with field teams, and immediate response to operational deviations.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor plant systems through DCS/SCADA control panels
- Maintain critical process parameters within defined limits (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.)
- Identify abnormalities and initiate corrective actions promptly
- Coordinate with field operators, maintenance, and production teams
- Ensure adherence to production targets, quality standards, and safety norms
- Maintain shift logs, incident reports, and production records
- Execute start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures as per SOPs
- Monitor alarms and troubleshoot process issues in real time
- Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines

Key Skills Required

- Strong understanding of process control systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA)
- Analytical thinking and quick decision-making under pressure




- Positive communication and coordination skills
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation and process flow
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Attention to detail and process discipline

Qualifications

- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical / Mechanical / Instrumentation / Production Engineering
- Relevant certifications in process control (preferred)

Experience

- 2 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing / process industry
- Experience in industries like cement, chemicals, minerals, ceramics, or power plants preferred

Working Conditions

- Rotational shifts (including night shifts)
- Control room-based role with continuous monitoring
- High responsibility for plant safety and production continuity

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
