As a Electrical Designer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Electrical and Instrumentation specific design and drafting services that meet Worley, the clients and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Identify design scope based on the project definition and develop list of drawing deliverables and estimates to complete the work.
- Initiate and manage design & drafting assignments for projects specific requirements as per schedule and budget.
- Perform Electrical and Instrumentation specific design and drafting services such as:
- ensure the project scope is transparent, identify change & risk with design scope and any changes to scope is recorded as per project change management processes.
- interpret and interface vendor equipment and/or third-party design documents into project design.
- ensure all drawings and documents are prepared and checked in accordance with Worley drafting standard and checking procedures.
- participate in various project reviews as required .
- Undertake design and drafting assignments in line with projects requirements on time and within budget .
- Experience with Workshare delivery, communicate effectively with the GID/HO discipline teams on all discipline matters and other disciplines whilst considering design interfaces .
- Establish and maintain good working relationships within the project team GID/HO.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an Electrical Tradesperson who has completed the Electrical Design, Drafting & Estimates course.
- Electrical License (highly regarded).
- At least 8+ years Electrical and Instrumentation design and drafting experience in the MMM/MH Industry or similar industry.
- Experience in Brownfield electrical systems and knowledge of control system interfaces.
- A good understanding of Australian electrical standards and other International standards.
- Highly effective technical and practical Electrical and Instrumentation design and drafting skills.
- Proven skillset in utilizing the following software and tools:
- Microstation SE and or AutoCAD 18 and above.
- Microsoft Office and Excel.
- 3D Modelling softwares (E3D and/or S3D).
- Navisworks.
- Effectively interface with other disciplines to ensure fit for purpose design.
- Proven experience in creating electrical deliverables such as:
- Single line diagrams HV and LV.
- Schematics for panels such as incomers, feeders, VSDs and motor starters.
- Cable schedules.
- Material take offs.
- Electrical Equipment / Switchroom layouts.
- Lighting calculation (Dialux) & Lighting Layout.
- Power and Cable Routing layouts.
- Earthing & Lightning Protection layouts.
- Primary and secondary schematics and Termination diagrams.
- Panel general arrangements.
- 3D Modelling of Electrical Equipment, Cable Trays / Trenches / Raceways, Lighting.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to clearly convey information and ideas to project team members
