The API Engineer designs and builds modernized integration APIs using Azure Functions and Azure API Management, exposing the modernized data platform to downstream consumers in a secure, well-governed manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop REST APIs using Azure Functions
- Configure and manage API exposure, policies, and versioning through Azure API Management (APIM)
- Define and maintain OpenAPI specifications for all exposed APIs
- Implement Azure AD authentication and secure secrets management via Azure Key Vault
- Design integration architecture patterns connecting the API layer with the data platform
- Implement monitoring and logging for API health, performance, and usage
