Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with contemporary frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with different teams and continuous refinement of software elements are integral parts of the daily workflow, fostering innovation and responsiveness to evolving project needs.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Drive adoption and implementation of Polarion Copilot (AI) capabilities including Content Validation, Similarity Analysis, Consistency Check, and AI-assisted Requirements Engineering.
Design and implement AI-enabled ALM solutions leveraging Polarion Copilot, enterprise LLMs, and custom AI extensions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, systems engineers, and architects to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation across requirements, quality, validation, and traceability processes.
Support AI-assisted migration of legacy requirements and engineering documents (Word, PDF, Excel) into Polarion LiveDocs and Work Items.
Define and implement governance, security, and compliance controls for AI-enabled engineering workflows.
Evaluate and integrate enterprise AI services (Azure OpenAI, on-prem LLMs, or other approved models) with Polarion using APIs and custom connectors.
Contribute to AI architecture decisions,



prompt engineering strategies, RAG-based knowledge retrieval, and AI adoption best practices across ALM programs.

Professional & Technical Skills:
Must Have Skills

Proficiency in Siemens Polarion ALM with hands-on experience in configuration, customization, workflows, LiveDocs, traceability, and integrations.
Experience with Polarion Copilot (AI) features including:
Content Validation (INCOSE compliance)
Similarity Analysis
Consistency Check
Requirements Engineering (RE) Agent
AI Chatbot / Natural Language Querying
Knowledge of Systems Engineering and Requirements Engineering standards (INCOSE, IEEE).
Experience with AI/GenAI technologies such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, LLMs, RAG architectures, and prompt engineering.
Understanding of AI governance, data privacy, security, and enterprise deployment models for regulated engineering environments.

Good To Have Skills:

Experience implementing AI-powered requirement quality analysis, requirement generation, document migration, and traceability validation solutions.
Knowledge of Polarion Copilot APIs and custom AI extension development.
Experience integrating Polarion with enterprise engineering tools such as Teamcenter, Jira, Azure DevOps, DOORS, MBSE, and testing platforms.
Experience with AI-assisted document understanding and migration from unstructured engineering documents into Polarion.
Experience working with Polarion ALM 2512+ releases and Polarion Copilot
Candidates with experience in Teamcenter Systems Engineering, Requirements Engineering, MBSE, Digital Thread, or Engineering Lifecycle Management will be preferred.
Exposure to AI-enabled engineering transformation initiatives, requirement migration programs, and intelligent traceability solutions will be an added advantage.

Additional Information:

- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Siemens Polarion ALM.

- This position is based at our BDC11 - SEZ office.

- A 15 years full time education is required.
