The HR Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the organisation. They will work closely with management and employees to ensure effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Job Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Selection:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates.
- Conduct interviews, evaluate applicants, and make recommendations for hiring decisions.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Conduct investigations into employee issues and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Promote a positive work environment and foster employee morale and engagement.
Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
- Provide guidance and support to managers in addressing performance-related issues.
- Assist in the development of training programs to enhance employee performance and career development.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Assist in conducting salary benchmarking and compensation analysis.
HR Policies and Procedures:
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that align with the organisations goals and comply with legal requirements.
- Communicate and train employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure HR-related documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and submit HR-related reports as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
Key Skills Required:
- Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR roles, preferably in a similar capacity.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
