Fashion Designer (Infant wear only/ age group 0-3 yrs)

Location: Patparganj, Delhi

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct market research, customer visits, vendor meetings, and trend analysis for seasonal range planning.
- Develop seasonal concepts including themes, colors, silhouettes, prints, trims, and accessories.
- Design new styles and maintain complete style information including colors and style codes.
- Coordinate licensee and non-licensee product development and obtain necessary approvals.
- Develop sticker artwork, packaging designs, line arts, and print artworks.
- Coordinate with licensors for design approvals wherever applicable.
- Prepare and hand over design sheets, artwork files, and style information to Merchandising, MDM, and DEO teams.
- Raise pattern requests and coordinate with Tailor and Sampling Coordinator.
- Coordinate development of trims including buttons, twill tapes, elastics, labels, tagless artwork, zippers, and packaging materials.
- Conduct on-screen design presentations for management and marketing approvals.
- Freeze seasonal color cards, trims, accessories, and marketing sample requirements.
- Coordinate catalogue preparation, e-commerce line arts, product images, and shoot requirements.
- Provide sticker files, BOM, routing rates,



and printing rates for production.
- Approve strike-offs, PP samples, packaging, and production samples.
- Maintain design stock reports and artwork repositories.
- Coordinate FG & SFG code creation with MDM.
- Resolve production-related issues involving fabric, stickers, elastics, and trims.
- Ensure timely handover of approved samples and design documents for production.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Designing or Apparel Designing.
- Experience in infant wear.
- Solid knowledge of knitwear design and garment construction, including knit fabrics, structures, gauges, finishes, and shrinkage considerations.
- Understanding of knitwear fabrics such as single jersey, rib, interlock, fleece, terry, pique, and other infant-friendly knitted fabrics.
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, packaging, and print development.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW or similar design software.
- Good understanding of sampling, merchandising, and production processes.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
