Appian is hiring Senior Software Engineers (5+ Years Experience)

Work Location: Brigade World Trade Center, Perungudi, Chennai

What we're looking for:

- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Robust expertise in Java, Data Structures, Algorithms, and System Design
- Experience building distributed systems in cloud-native environments
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to AWS and modern database technologies
- Experience with performance optimization and large-scale applications
- Familiarity with AI tools and technologies such as Amazon Q, Claude, RAG, Agentic Workflows, and MCP is an added advantage
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills

What you'll do:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software systems
- Drive architecture and technical design for enterprise-grade applications




- Build internal developer tools and improve engineering productivity
- Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and champion engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance
- Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions
