Role: Mainframe CICS Developer

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

Analyze business requirements and prepare technical design specifications.

Code, unit test, and implement application changes and enhancements.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ABENDs, and performance bottlenecks.

Perform impact analysis for change requests and system modifications.

Support batch processing and online transaction systems.

Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and project stakeholders.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Create and maintain technical documentation.

Support deployment,



release management, and post-production validation activities.

Required Technical Skills

Solid experience in COBOL programming.

Good knowledge of CICS transaction processing.

Experience with JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

Ability to analyze dumps and resolve ABENDs.

Knowledge of mainframe utilities and debugging tools.

Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and change management processes.

Experience with version control and deployment tools.

Must have skills

Minimum 6 Years Experienced resources with Hands on experience in CICS / VSAM

Good Analytical / Technical skills is a must

Resource should be willing to work in Shifts

Good to have Skills

Retail Domain Knowledge is an added advantage Agile exposure will be good to have Exposure to services will be an added advantages
