Vestas Global Service business was spun out as a separate business unit during 2014 due to the growing commercial and strategic significance of the service business. With our corporate strategy "Profitable Growth for Vestas" we have communicated specific, ambitious growth targets for service in coming three years. To achieve such targets while keeping our cost base steady requires a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally. The Global Service Lean team is responsible for driving further our Service Business continuous improvement and execution excellence culture. We drive the process for Strategy Deployment, work on establishing global concepts, and execute breakthrough improvements based on world class methodologies such as Lean Supply Chain, Lean and Six Sigma.
Responsibilities
- Join a regional team of Lean and Six Sigma Black Belts focused on advancing Lean maturity and reducing operational costs
- Engage with Supply Chain and Repair teams to elevate performance metrics to world-class benchmarks
- Drive regional improvements to increase stock turns, minimize obsolescence, optimize processes, and lower repair costs
- Conduct periodic Lean maturity assessments across logistics areas and operational processes
- Develop and execute targeted Lean Transformation plans based on maturity assessment results
- Facilitate Kaizen events to drive continuous improvements and update core processes
- Implement VMP initiatives to directly reduce regional operational costs
- Share and standardize Lean best practices across various regions and repair facilities
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher academic qualification
- Minimum 10 years of successful experience in Lean Supply Chain
- Proven track record applying Lean Supply Chain principles across both manufacturing and transactional environments
Competencies
- Strong influence, persuasiveness, and interpersonal capabilities
- Transparent communication skills to convey future-state next steps to key stakeholders
- Ability to create impact and connect effectively with the workforce
- Extensive experience in Supply Chain and Logistics management
- Proven background in Change Management, system implementation, and multi-region follow-ups
- Expertise in driving continuous operational improvements based on Value Streams
- Certification, certified experience, or education in Lean Supply Chain and Logistics disciplines
- Superior analytical, implementation, and facilitation skills
- Superior written and verbal communication in English, plus the local regional language
