Purpose of the RoleThe Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials received from vendors, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards, preparing inspection reports, maintaining quality documentation, and supporting the overall quality assurance process. The role also includes maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), coordinating with vendors for manufacturing follow-up, and ensuring timely availability of quality-approved materials.Key Responsibilities

- Perform incoming quality inspection of manufactured components received from vendors.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications as per engineering drawings and approved standards.
- Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports for all inspected materials.
- Identify non-conforming materials and report deviations to the concerned department.
- Follow up with vendors regarding manufacturing progress, inspection status, delivery schedules, and quality-related issues to ensure timely material availability.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve manufacturing and quality concerns.
- Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) accurately.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspection records and quality reports.
- Operate and maintain precision measuring instruments, including:
- Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge

- Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T; requirements.
- Work closely with the Design, Production, and Procurement teams to ensure product quality and timely material supply.




- Maintain a clean, organized, and quality-focused work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in inspection and quality control processes.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience Required

- Fresher to 1 year of experience in Quality Inspection or Manufacturing.

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection.
- Positive understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing standards.
- Knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge

- Ability to prepare inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
- Basic knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials) management.
- Understanding of machining processes, manufacturing methods, and quality inspection procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

- Internship or prior experience in Quality Inspection, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or Vendor Quality.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation and inspection procedures.
- Knowledge of ISO quality systems will be an added advantage.
