Qualification
n CA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent
n Eligible to act as Engagement Partner under relevant regulatory structure
n 15–20 years of experience in external audit
n Prior Middle East portfolio experience is added advantage
n

nA. Engagement Responsibility
n Act as Engagement Partner for selected Middle East audit portfolios delivered from the Capability Centre.
n Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with:
nI. International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) standards
nII. International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (IFRS)
nIII. Local regulatory requirements (e.g., UAE MoE,)
n Review and approve audit planning, strategy, risk assessment, and completion documentation.
n Oversee issuance of audit reports in coordination with licensed Middle East signing partners.
n

nB. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
n Ensure compliance with UAE and GCC audit regulatory frameworks including:
n UAE Ministry of Economy audit licensing requirements
n Relevant Capital Market Authority requirements (where applicable)




n Manage readiness for regulatory inspections and quality reviews.
n

nC. Technical & Complex Matters
nProvide leadership and review over:
n Group and component audits
n Consolidation reviews
n Going concern assessments
n Expected Credit Loss (ECL) models
n Revenue recognition under IFRS 15
n Lease accounting under IFRS 16
n Key Audit Matters (KAM) drafting
n

nD. Cross-Border Coordination
n Act as primary audit leader within the Capability Centre for Middle East engagements.
n Coordinate closely with:
n Onshore Engagement Partners
n Regional Quality & Risk teams
n Client CFOs and Audit Committees (virtual participation as required)
n Manage engagement budgets, WIP, realization, and margin performance.
n

nE. Portfolio Management
n Lead multi-sector portfolios (e.g., Construction, Real Estate, Trading, Manufacturing, Family Businesses,
nFunds).
n Drive timely
