Description

Position Overview The MDM Developer is a solid, independent contributor who builds and supports MDM platform features end-to-end. Owns features from development through production support under the “you build it, you support it” model. Works with moderate guidance from senior team members on complex design decisions but independently delivers sprint commitments and resolves production issues within their domain.

Platform Development & Enhancement

- Build and configure MDM platform features across assigned domains

- Implement match/merge/survivorship rules based on design specifications

- Build and maintain hierarchy structures and relationship configurations

- Build stewardship workflows and business rules per design specifications

- Implement region-specific configurations including conditional attributes, validation rules, and approval routing per design specifications

- Build and maintain custom data entry screens and validation rules per design specifications

- Execute data mapping and onboarding for new sources per established patterns

- Execute data migrations and bulk operations per migration plans

- Implement platform enhancements and optimizations

- Participate in design discussions and raise technical concerns

Platform Modernization
- Execute modernization tasks per established plans and timelines

- Implement data mapping per specifications during modernization phases

- Perform regression testing and report discrepancies during modernization

Production Support, Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution
- Own production support for features you built — resolve incidents within SLAs





- Resolve data issues within your domain; escalate cross-system issues with root cause context

- Analyze application and database logs to identify issue root cause

- Identify patterns in recurring issues and propose permanent fixes

- Debug data flows within your domain to identify where failures occur

- Resolve defects in match/merge configuration and data processing logic

- Execute data reconciliation tasks and validate synchronization

- Collaborate with adjacent teams (data lake, ERP) when issues span system boundaries

- Share knowledge on resolved issues through documentation and team sessions

Testing & Quality
- Develop and execute test cases for SIT and UAT

- Perform system integration testing for assigned features

- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback

- Refactor code to improve readability and performance

- Address technical debt in assigned areas

- Use CI/CD pipelines for deployments and troubleshoot pipeline failures

- Perform post-production validation for your releases; execute rollback procedures per established plans

- Participate in DR testing and validate recovery procedures

Security & Compliance
- Working knowledge of data security, information security practices, and SOX compliance procedures





Required Qualifications
- 6+ years hands-on MDM platform experience (e.g., Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDM, Semarchy, Profisee)

- 6+ years advanced SQL experience — complex queries, joins, subqueries, data analysis (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

- 4+ years hands-on coding — write, debug, and refactor code (e.g., Java, Python, PL/SQL, shell scripting)

- 3+ years experience with match/merge, survivorship, and stewardship workflows

- 3+ years experience with data migrations and bulk operations

- 3+ years experience with data mapping and integration tools (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, Talend, MuleSoft)

- 3+ years experience using CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting failures (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

- 2+ years experience with log analysis and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, Datadog, CloudWatch)

- 2+ years experience with incident management using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)

- Experience working across at least 2 MDM domains

- Solid knowledge of SDLC: requirements, development, testing (unit, SIT, UAT), CI/CD, change management, release management

Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-domain MDM experience

- Manufacturing industry experience

- Informatica MDM or Reltio platform experience

- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and APIs

- Awareness of AI/ML applications in MDM

- Familiarity with graph database concepts

- Familiarity with workflow orchestration

- Experience working with adjacent data teams

- Agile/Scrum delivery experience
