Department: B2C Sales Fertilisers
Location: Gurugram
Reporting To: Head B2C Sales- Fertilisers
Experience: 10-15+ years in Agronomy, Crop Nutrition, Fertilisers or Agri-inputs.

Role Purpose

Lead the agronomy and technical support function for the Fertiliser business. Provide technical Support in crop nutrition, fertigation, product development, field trials, technical marketing and customer support to drive product adoption and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop crop-wise and stage-wise fertiliser and fertigation programs for major crops.
- Provide technical support to Sales, dealers, distributors and key customers.
- Plan and monitor field trials, demonstrations and product validation.
- Develop technical recommendations for fertigation, foliar and soil application.
- Support development and launch of new WSF and specialty fertiliser products.
- Provide technical inputs for product positioning, claims, brochures and marketing activities.
- Conduct training for sales teams, dealers, distributors and farmers.
- Diagnose crop nutrition issues and provide practical solutions.
- Develop crop nutrition guides, application protocols and technical literature.
- Track competitor products, market trends and emerging crop nutrition technologies.
- Work closely with Suppliers, Sales, Marketing, Quality and Regulatory teams.
- Build relationships with agricultural universities, research institutes and technical experts.
- Generate field data, success stories and technical evidence to support business growth.
- Lead and develop the agronomy/technical support team.

Candidate Profile

Education:
B.Sc. Ag./M.Sc./M.Tech./Ph.D. in Agronomy, Soil Science, Horticulture, Plant Physiology, Plant Nutrition or related field.

Experience:

- 1015+ years of experience in Water-Soluble Fertilisers, Specialty Fertilisers, Crop Nutrition or Agri-inputs.
- Strong experience in fertigation, field trials and technical support.
- Experience working with sales and distribution networks preferred.
- Good understanding of Indian crops and agricultural markets.

- Strong knowledge of plant nutrition, NPK, secondary and micronutrients.
- Expertise in fertigation and water-soluble fertiliser application.
- Crop nutrition and deficiency diagnosis.
- Field trial planning and data interpretation.
- Technical communication and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial and customer orientation.
- Team leadership and stakeholder management.
- Willingness to travel extensively across agricultural markets.
