End-to-End Indian Payroll Execution (SAP):
Maintain and update employee data in the SAP HR module, including master data, payroll inputs.
Manage pre-payroll activities, including master data validation, attendance and absence verification through
SAP and updates for current hires, transfers, and separations.
Run monthly regular payroll and process off-cycle payments accurately and on schedule.
Manage the Payroll Control Record across locations and payroll areas.
Coordinate with Finance and auditor on payroll, tax, and compliance-related matters.
Manage SAP infotypes and ensure payroll-related employee records are accurate and up to date.
Generate payroll result tables, wage-type reports, and tax reporting statements as required.
Statutory Compliance & Tax Administration:
Ensure full compliance with Indian labour laws and tax regulations, including guidance on Old and Current Tax
Regimes under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Generate statutory reports and coordinate timely monthly remittances for applicable payroll compliance
requirements.
PF, ESI,
and Professional Tax: Prepare, validate, and support monthly filings and remittances.
Tax Deducted at Source (TDS): Execute year-end tax processing, including investment proof validation, tax
recalculations, and employee tax reporting support. Accounting Integration & Reporting:
Process payroll posting runs to Financial Accounting and resolve General Ledger or symbolic account posting errors.
Reconcile payroll output with General Ledger accounts and bank payout files to ensure accuracy before disbursement.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Payroll, preferably with Indian payroll processes.
Robust attention to detail, problem-solving ability, commitment to data confidentiality, and effective
stakeholder communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
