About the Company

We are seeking an experienced Axway Support Engineer to provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for enterprise Axway environments, including Axway API Gateway (APIGW), Axway MFT, B2B integrations, and related middleware components. The candidate will be responsible for platform administration, configuration management, incident resolution, performance tuning, high-availability support, patch management, capacity planning, and operational excellence across mission-critical integration platforms. The role requires close collaboration with application development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to ensure secure, reliable, and highly available middleware services. The role aligns with support activities for Axway APIGW & MFT platforms and platform engineering responsibilities.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Axway Support Engineer to provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for enterprise Axway environments, including Axway API Gateway (APIGW), Axway MFT, B2B integrations, and related middleware components.

Responsibilities

Middleware Design & Engineering
Configure, administer, and support Axway API Gateway, MFT, and B2B integration platforms.
Analyze application and integration requirements and recommend middleware design improvements.
Assess impacts of application changes on middleware architecture, configurations, and infrastructure.
Design and implement highly available and resilient middleware solutions.
Support disaster recovery, failover, and business continuity requirements.
Manage SSL certificates, communication channels, security policies, routing configurations, and partner connections.

Platform Administration & Operations
Administer Axway platform components across development, test, staging, and production environments.
Perform platform startup, shutdown, restart, and recovery procedures.
Install, configure, upgrade,



and maintain Axway software components and related infrastructure.
Execute middleware patching and version upgrade activities.
Support testing and validation activities related to platform releases, patches, and security updates.
Maintain platform health, availability, and compliance standards.

Incident, Problem & Change Management
Provide L2/L3 support for production incidents and service requests.
Troubleshoot API failures, connectivity issues, file transfer failures, certificate errors, and infrastructure issues.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions.
Support change implementation activities and release deployments.
Participate in on-call support and major incident management activities.

Monitoring & Performance Management
Monitor API traffic, file transfer activities, message throughput, system health, and resource utilization.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Perform capacity planning and utilization analysis.
Tune platform configurations for optimal throughput and reliability.
Monitor and address threshold breaches related to CPU, memory, storage, and network utilization.

Security & Compliance
Manage certificate lifecycle, encryption keys, authentication mechanisms, and API security policies.
Support vulnerability remediation and security compliance activities.
Ensure secure communication and data transfer practices across integrations.

Documentation & Governance




Maintain accurate documentation for:
APIs and integrations
MFT flows
Partner configurations
Certificates and security settings
Platform architecture and operational procedures
Support runbooks and SOPs

Participate in audits and compliance reviews.

Continuous Improvement & Automation
Implement automation opportunities for monitoring, recovery, alerting, and operational activities.
Support self-healing and proactive monitoring initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve platform stability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
Axway certification(s) preferred.
Experience supporting enterprise integration and middleware platforms in 24×7 production environments.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
