Role & responsibilities
Monitor and control quality throughout the POP and electroplating process, from incoming plastic components through final inspection.
Establish and maintain quality standards for plating processes, including surface preparation, activation, electroless plating, electroplating, rinsing, drying, and finishing.
Inspect and analyze plating defects such as blisters, peeling, burning, pits, roughness, stains, discoloration, poor adhesion, thickness variation, skips, and contamination.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and CAPA.
Monitor critical process parameters and develop appropriate process control plans and inspection standards.
Work closely with Production, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Tooling, and R&D; teams to resolve quality issues.
Support PPAP, APQP, PFMEA,
Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and other core quality activities.
Participate in customer complaint investigations and prepare effective containment and corrective-action reports.
Conduct process audits, layered process audits, and product audits as required.
Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing scrap, rework, customer complaints, and process variation.
Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test results, and process documentation.
Ensure adherence to applicable environmental, safety, chemical-handling, and regulatory requirements associated with electroplating operations.
