We are looking for a Senior Accountant with solid WIP (Work in Progress) and construction accounting experience to support an HVAC, MEP, construction, and home services business.
The ideal candidate should understand WIP, job costing, accruals, and borrowing base requirements, with experience working in ServiceTitan and QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain WIP accounting and schedules.
Track project costs, billings, revenue, and profitability.
Ensure WIP-related costs and revenues are properly accrued and recognized.
Support borrowing base calculations and reporting.
Perform job costing and project-level financial analysis.
Reconcile ServiceTitan with QuickBooks, with ServiceTitan serving as the source of truth for Accounts Receivable.
Handle month-end close, accruals,
reconciliations, and WIP adjustments.
Must-Have Qualifications
4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, HVAC, MEP, or home services.
Strong hands-on experience with WIP accounting.
Robust understanding of construction accounting and job costing.
Experience with accrual accounting and project revenue recognition.
Understanding of borrowing base and WIP requirements.
Hands-on ServiceTitan experience is strongly preferred.
Solid QuickBooks experience.
Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
Preferred candidate profile CPA/CA or experience supporting lender/borrowing base reporting.
