Key Responsibilities:
Server Management: Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring security, availability, and performance.
System Administration: Perform system configuration, software installation, updates, and patch management.
Security: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls.
Performance Optimization: Monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
Backup and Recovery: Set up and manage server backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity.
Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve server-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
User Management: Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls on Linux servers.
Compliance: Ensure server configurations and practices adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Automation:



Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline server administration tasks.
Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior administrators, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
Proven experience as a Linux Server Administrator, with expertise in managing Linux-based server environments
Proficiency in Linux server administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat)
Solid knowledge of server security best practices and experience with security tools
Scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation tasks
Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, Docker) is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Solid communication and teamwork abilities
Relevant certifications (Linux Qualified Institute Certification, Red Hat Certified Engineer) are a plus
