An OT Technician, or Operating Theatre Technician, is a healthcare skilled responsible for preparing and maintaining the operating theatre, assisting surgical teams, and ensuring patient safety during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare the Operating Theatre: Lay out surgical instruments, sterilize equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are available for procedures.
Assist Surgical Teams: Provide instruments and support to surgeons, nurses, and anaesthetists during operations.
Maintain Sterile Workplace: Follow strict aseptic techniques to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
Operate and Maintain Equipment: Handle anaesthesia machines, ventilators, C-ARM machines, and other surgical devices, ensuring they function correctly SlideShare.
Patient Care Support: Monitor vital signs, assist in patient transfer, and support pre-operative and post-operative care.




Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain OT records, verify equipment, manage oxygen and suction supplies, and adhere to hospital protocols SlideShare.
Cleaning and Sterilization: Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, disinfected, and ready for subsequent procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operation theatre equipment.
Soft Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, teamwork, and effective communication.
Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or surgical setting is advantageous but not always mandatory.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
