A. Process
Supervise and manage the fixed assets accounting team and processes.
Performing accurate recording and reporting of all asset transactions, including additions, retirements, transfers, depreciation, adjustments and associated accounting.
Ensuring all documentation to support transactions are accurately completed.
Providing critical review of Fixed Asset transactions and performing sub-ledger to GL reconciliation
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset reports.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement, and IT.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the fixed asset function.
Conduct regular meetings with Controller, Project Manager, Legal Entity Accountants, and FP&A; teams to discuss fixed asset-related matters, impacts, and provide necessary information from the SAP Fixed Asset Module
Monitor and ensure adherence to key controls of Fixed Assets
B. People
Lead and develop the fixed assets team by fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Motivate and mentor team members, providing guidance and support for skilled growth.
Conduct annual performance evaluations, set goals, and provide regular feedback to ensure team effectiveness and alignment with organizational objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com)/semi-qualified CA/ICWA (Inter).
8 to 12 years of relevant experience in fixed assets accounting.
Robust working knowledge of SAP Fixed Asset Module.
Expert in Financial Accounting (US GAAP ASC 360)
Robust understanding of Fixed Asset processes and practices
Experience in managing fixed asset audits and reconciliations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial reporting tools.
