JOB DESCRIPTION
Guardian of Quality: Ensure all machined components meet specified tolerances, dimensions, and surface finish requirements.
Compliance Enforcer: Verify adherence to ISO standards, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures.
Process Monitor: Oversee inspection processes at different stages—raw material, in-process, and final product.
Documentation Specialist: Maintain inspection records, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action logs.
Communication Bridge: Coordinate between production, engineering, and management to resolve quality issues.
Continuous Improvement Contributor: Suggest process improvements to reduce defects and enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Measurement:
Perform dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), and other precision tools.
Conduct visual inspections for defects such as cracks, burrs, or improper finishes.
Verify first-off samples before batch production.
Quality Control:
Approve or reject parts based on inspection results.
Identify non-conformances and raise NCRs with detailed root cause analysis.
Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
Documentation & Reporting:
Record inspection results in quality logs and ERP systems.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain calibration records of measuring instruments.
Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001,IATF 16949, ISO 50001, and customer-specific requirements.
Verify machine shop processes align with safety and 5S practices.
Training & Support:
Guide operators on quality standards and inspection techniques.
Assist in training freshers on basic measurement tools and defect identification.
Skills Required:
Solid knowledge of machining processes (CNC, lathe, milling, grinding).
Proficiency in precision measuring instruments and GDT
