Taxation Head

Location -Corporate Office Mumbai

Reporting to CFO

Key responsibilities :

Direct Taxation
Calculation of advance tax based on various projections and adjustments.
Involvement in the statutory provision of tax and audit thereof.
Driving the conclusion of tax audits.
Preparing and filing the Return of Income well before the statutory deadline.
Advising internal departments/groups on tax-related queries, including payroll and payment teams.
Advising on tax implications for various transactions entered into by the company.
Collating details from various internal groups for purposes such as yearly tax provision, estimating advance tax installments, and preparing the return of income and assessments.
Preparing assessment details, calculations, and submissions.
Appearing before income tax and service tax authorities for assessments, rectifications, orders giving effect, and refunds.
Preparing rectification applications under Section 154 of the Income Tax Act 1961.
Preparing replies to penalty notices under Section 271 of the Income Tax Act 1961.




Preparing letters and workings for orders giving effect to appellate orders.
Preparing appeals to be filed before CIT(A) against assessment orders if claims are not allowed.
Preparing submissions in response to various notices issued by Income Tax Authorities.
Keeping track of the movement of tax-related accounts.
Group reporting to the regional office based in Hong Kong on a quarterly basis.
Ensuring tax-related compliance and litigation.
Handling transfer pricing assessments, litigation, and documentation.
Providing transfer pricing advisory services to business and functions.

Indirect Taxation
Ensuring smooth compliance under GST for all group companies.
Ensuring that all input tax credit under GST is availed and utilized.
Ensuring smooth conclusion of all outstanding litigation.

Finance
Understanding Indian Accounting Standards.
Concluding tax-related matters in statutory accounts.
Proactively supporting and advising the Head of Finance on various tax-related matters, including the latest updates impacting the business.
