Role & responsibilities

Mold & Tool Setting:
Perform mold changeover on plastic injection molding machines as per production plan.
Ensure correct alignment, clamping, cooling connections, hydraulic and pneumatic hookups.
Set and optimize mold safety, ejector system, core-pull mechanisms, and safety interlocks.
Process setting after mold change and handover machines for mass production.

Machine Setup & Process Control:
Set and optimize Molding machine parameter related to injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Troubleshoot short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, flow lines, and other molding defects.
Support initiatives to reduce changeover time.
Interface PLCs with robots, conveyors, chillers, hot runners, and material handling systems.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Identify and report tool wear, damage, and abnormalities to the tool room team.
Assist in preventive maintenance of molds.

Quality & Safety:




Ensure production complies with quality standards, SOPs, and control plans.
Follow EHS and safety guidelines during mold change and machine operation.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills:
Solid knowledge of plastic injection molding processes
Hands-on experience in mold setting and changeover

Behavioural Skills:
Problem-solving mindset
Attention to detail
Willing to work in shifts
Team collaboration and communication

Qualifications: ITI with 25 years of experience in plastic injection molding

Preferred Experience:
Experience with robotic automation and hot runner systems
Knowledge of process validation and cycle time optimization

Working Conditions:
Shop floorbased role
Rotational shifts as per production requirements
