Key Responsibilities:
Manage procurement of APIs, intermediates, and critical pharmaceutical raw materials.
Identify, evaluate, and develop domestic and international suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, lead time, freight, and other commercial terms.
Obtain quotations, compare commercial offers, and ensure cost-effective procurement.
Issue Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Monitor stock levels, production requirements, open POs, and material availability.
Develop alternate suppliers for critical APIs to ensure supply continuity.
Coordinate with QA/QC for vendor qualification, approvals, audits, and quality issues.
Ensure availability of required COA, MSDS/SDS, specifications, and other supplier documents.
Monitor supplier performance related to quality,



cost, delivery, and service.
Identify prospects for cost reduction and inventory optimization.
Maintain vendor records, procurement reports, and MIS.

Required Skills & Experience:
Relevant experience in API Procurement / Pharmaceutical Raw Material Purchase.
Solid knowledge of API sourcing and supplier markets.
Excellent vendor development, negotiation, and commercial skills.
Understanding of procurement, inventory, and supply-chain processes.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/SAP.

Robust communication, analytical, and coordination skills.
