Role: AIX Admin
Required Technical Skill Set: Knowledge on HACMP, NIM, VIO & Powervc, VI, Powervm, shell script, HMC
Experience: 7-10 years
Location: Chennai

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)
Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers.
Support AIX OS to run various software applications.
Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS.
Install and test AIX OS patches.
Develop procedures for AIX security and management.
Working knowledge on Administration of LPARs/DLPARs, HMC, NIM Servers, VIO servers & Powervc
Should have excellent knowledge and hands-on in IBM HACMP Clusters with trouble shooting.

Good-to-Have
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in AIX domain.
Detect and troubleshoot system operational and functional issues.
Plan and coordinate the installation,



testing, and maintenance of AIX systems software and related hardware.
Good working knowledge on LPAR/DLPARs
Good working knowledge on NIM & HMC
Good working knowledge on VIO server & Powervc
Good working knowledge on IBM HACMP clusters.
Develop performance improvement initiatives for AIX system setting

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

An ability to lead the AIX operational team and drive the SLA/OLA concerned
2
Escalation of problems in a timely manner as per the defined escalation matrix.
3
Ability to communicate technical contents clearly and good on vendor co-ordination.
