Role Description The Purchasing Engineer role is a full time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The individual in this role will manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including identifying requirements, sourcing suppliers, requesting quotations, and processing purchase orders for materials and components (std. steel, brought outs, indirect items, electrical and electronics goods etc) used in manufacturing. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure timely availability of items, monitoring supplier performance, and optimizing costs while maintaining required standards. The Purchasing Engineer will also track inventory levels, assist in purchase planning, maintain accurate records in procurement systems, and support vendor development and negotiation as needed.




Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Purchasing Processes and Purchase Management to handle procurement operations effectively.
Candidates should possess skills in Purchase Planning and managing Purchase Orders to ensure timely and accurate material availability.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to evaluate quotations, compare costs, and support data-driven purchasing decisions.
Candidates should have experience with vendor sourcing, negotiation, and relationship management within manufacturing or engineering environments.
Candidates should have a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in procurement.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in MS Office and ERP or procurement software, along with clear written and verbal communication skills.
