About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, empathetic, and results-driven Admission Counselor / Academic Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding prospective students and working professionals, understanding their educational and career goals, recommending suitable programs/courses, and converting leads into enrolments.

The ideal candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, a consultative counselling approach, and a strong track record of driving course admissions in the education, ed-tech, or training sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Engage with prospective students/professionals through inbound inquiries, outbound calls, email campaigns, and follow-ups.
- Conduct detailed counselling sessions to understand candidates' career goals, educational backgrounds, and skill gaps.
- Present and explain suitable courses, training programs, curriculum details, and value propositions clearly.
- Conduct program overviews, live counselling sessions, and online/in-person demonstrations.
- Handle objections, address student/parent queries effectively, and guide prospects toward program enrolment.
- Maintain a consistent sales/enrolment pipeline and consistently achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets.
- Build solid follow-up mechanisms with leads via calls, emails,



and messaging platforms to increase conversion rates.
- Coordinate with academic, operations, and support teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for enrolled students.
- Prepare fee structures, scholarship details, and admission paperwork as required.
- Maintain accurate lead, interaction, and status records in the CRM system.
- Track conversion metrics, pipeline performance, and candidate status across the admission funnel.
- Build positive, long-term relationships with students to foster referrals and alumni recommendations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive programs, and market demand for various courses.

Required Skills

- 1–4 years of proven experience in Academic Counselling, Admission Counseling, Ed-Tech Sales, or Inside Sales within the education sector.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Proficient in consultative selling, lead qualification, active listening, and relationship-building.
- Ability to handle objections, negotiate fees/payment plans, and close enrollments.
- Target-oriented mindset with a strong motivation to achieve sales goals.
- Good understanding of sales funnels, lead stages, and CRM processes.




- Excellent interpersonal skills with an empathetic and student-centric approach.
- Ability to handle high-volume calls and multi-channel follow-ups efficiently.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Number of outbound/inbound calls and meaningful counseling interactions.
- Lead-to-counseling and counseling-to-enrollment conversion rates.
- Total monthly and quarterly enrollments achieved.
- Revenue generated through admissions.
- Average cycle time from lead allocation to final enrollment.
- Walk-in / online counseling demo bookings completed.
- Student satisfaction score during the admission process.
- CRM compliance, pipeline updates, and activity logging.
- Preferred Candidate Profile
- Prior experience working in Ed-Tech companies, Higher Education Institutions, Coaching Centers, or IT Training Institutes.
- Proven track record of selling online certifications, degree programs, executive education, or skill-based courses.
- Comfortable with phone-based counseling, video calls, and face-to-face walk-in interactions.
- Ability to analyze student needs and map them to suitable career paths.
- Experience with CRM tools (such as LeadSquared, Zoho CRM, Salesforce, or HubSpot).
