About the Role

We're looking for a sharp, persuasive Communications Manager to lead outreach to international distributors and sales companies on behalf of our film slate.

You'll be the voice that gets our films in front of the people who can take them to the world: sales agents, distributors, festival programmers, and acquisition executives across markets like Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, and beyond.

What You'll Do

Research and build relationships with international distributors, sales companies, and acquisition executives relevant to each project's genre, territory, and market positioning
Write compelling, high-conversion outreach emails and pitch materials that hook buyers within the first two lines
Track and manage an outreach pipeline — follow-ups, responses, and relationship status across dozens of contacts
Coordinate timing of outreach around key industry markets and festivals (Cannes Marché, EFM, AFM, TIFF, etc.)
Work closely with the producers and creative team to understand each film's unique story and translate that into buyer-facing language




Represent the company's voice and brand consistently across all external communication
Maintain a working knowledge of distribution trends, territory-specific buyer appetite, and comparable film sales

Ideal Candidate

5+ years of experience in film sales, distribution, international communications, or a closely related field
Exceptional written English with a proven ability to write copy that persuades, not just informs
Familiarity with how international film sales and acquisitions actually work: sales agents, territories, output deals, festival markets
Strong research instincts, able to identify the right distributor for a specific film rather than mass-emailing generic lists
A genuine interest in independent and international cinema; understanding of festival and arthouse distribution is a robust plus
Prior experience working with a production company, sales agent, or festival is a bonus
Background in entertainmen
