Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteer engagement across HESTIA’s programs and initiatives. This role includes recruiting volunteers, coordinating onboarding and training, and ensuring volunteers have clear responsibilities and access to needed resources. The Coordinator will maintain regular communication with volunteers, track participation and feedback, and help resolve day-to-day issues to keep activities running smoothly. They will collaborate with staff to identify volunteer needs, support community outreach activities, and align volunteer efforts with HESTIA’s mission and projects. The role also involves maintaining volunteer records, preparing straightforward reports, and suggesting improvements to volunteer processes.
Qualifications
Strong volunteer management and coordination skills, including experience with Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training.




Excellent interpersonal skills and Communication abilities for building relationships and supporting volunteers.
Experience with Community Outreach, including engaging diverse communities and promoting volunteer opportunities.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple volunteer activities in a part-time, remote setting.
Comfort using digital tools for remote collaboration, such as email, video conferencing, and basic databases or spreadsheets.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a supportive, inclusive environment for volunteers.
Previous experience in nonprofit, environmental, agricultural, or community-based projects is an advantage.
Relevant education or training in volunteer coordination, community development, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
