Role Description This is a full time, on-site Mechanical Fitter role based in Kolkata. The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, and maintaining mechanical equipment and machinery used in turbine overhauling, piping systems, and structural fabrication projects. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, performing fitting and adjustment work, assisting with equipment erection and shutdown maintenance,



and conducting routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation. The role also involves collaborating with supervisors and other technicians, documenting work performed, and adhering to company safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Strong fitting and machinery skills, including assembling, aligning, and installing mechanical components.
Experience in machining operations and the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Knowledge of maintenance and preventive maintenance practices for industrial equipment and mechanical systems.
Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Relevant technical diploma, trade certificate, or apprenticeship in mechanical fitting or a related field.
Awareness of industrial safety standards and ability to follow safe work practices.
Good physical stamina and ability to work in workshop and site conditions.
