Job DescriptionJob Purpose:
NTo lead the organization's credit, underwriting, risk, and policy functions, ensuring robust risk management, portfolio quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership of credit and risk processes to support sustainable business growth.
NKey Responsibilities:
N1. Credit & Underwriting Oversight
N

Define and implement credit policies, underwriting guidelines, and approval frameworks for housing loans and allied products. N
Monitor loan origination, appraisal, and sanction processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance. N
Approve high-value or complex credit proposals in line with delegated authority. N
Continuously refine underwriting models, credit scoring, and risk assessment tools. N
n2. Risk Management
N

Identify, assess,and mitigate credit, operational, and portfolio risks across the organization. N
Establish early warningsystems to monitor portfolio quality, delinquencies, and potential NPAs. N
Develop and implement risk management strategies, including credit risk appetite and limits. N
Monitor and report key risk indicators (KRIs) to senior management and the board. N
n3. Policy Formulation & Governance

Develop, implement, and periodically review policies related to credit, underwriting, collections, and risk management. N
Ensure policies are compliant with RBI/NHB regulations, industry best practices, and organizational objectives. N
Provide guidance and training to teams on policy interpretation and compliance. N
n4. Portfolio Quality & Monitoring

Oversee portfoliomonitoring, NPA management, and recovery strategies. N
Analyze trends in delinquency, write-offs, and provisioning requirements. N
Work closely with the Collections, Legal, and Operations teams to minimize risk exposure. N
