The Weaving Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of weaving production activities, including warping, sizing, and weaving operations. The role ensures smooth workflow from yarn preparation to fabric production, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing machine and manpower efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control
Plan and coordinate warping, sizing, and weaving production schedules
Ensure smooth material flow from warping → sizing → weaving
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
Optimize loom and preparatory machine utilization
Warping & Sizing Operations
Oversee beam preparation, creeling, and warping machine performance
Ensure correct yarn tension, beam length, and defect-free warping
Monitor breakages and minimize end breaks during weaving
Ensure proper yarn strength, stretch, and adhesion
Control size pick-up, moisture content, and drying parameters
Weaving Operations
Monitor loom performance (air-jet / rapier / etc.)
Ensure maximum machine efficiency and minimum stoppages
Control fabric defects and maintain quality standards
Coordinate quick troubleshooting of loom stoppages
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily production, efficiency, and downtime reports
Analyze performance data and suggest improvements
Report to General Manager / Mill Head regularly
