About the Role
Aerospace & Medical component manufacturing and state-of-the-art machinery.
Setting, proving out, and optimizing complex, close-tolerance components.
Key Responsibilities
Setup & Proving: Perform complex setups on multi-axis machining centers (e.g., 5-axis mills, turn-mill centers). Prove out current components and validate machining sequences.
Offsets & Editing: Work with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain). Set tool/work offsets and edit G-code at the machine.
Quality Control: Interpret complex engineering drawings, understand GD&T;, and conduct self-inspection using precision measuring equipment.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose tooling issues, optimize cutting parameters, and resolve non-conformance issues.
Essential Qualifications
Experience: Typically 3 to 10 years of hands-on experience with multi-axis CNC machines.
Education: Diploma, ITI, or Engineering Graduates.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of GD&T;,
tooling selection, and work-holding methods.
Soft Skills: Problem-solving ability, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work calmly under pressure.
