The Design Acoustics Engineer is responsible for leading the design, analysis, and delivery of noise and vibration control solutions across a range of projects. The role combines advanced acoustic modelling, technical reporting, team coordination, and client engagement to deliver compliant, high-quality, and cost-effective acoustic design outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Experience in measuring the noise and vibration techniques through computation modelling and noise surveys.
Responsibility for designing, analysing and controlling vibration and sound for various projects, coordinating with the team leader for the effects of vibrations and sound that are present or expected in the project.
Need to work in teams with other engineers and architects in order to collaborate on effective building plans or equipment.
Need to get involved in researching or developing recent acoustical techniques
Need to assist the team of junior level for acoustics and vibration, noise control, and human responses to acoustics and vibration
Preparing drawings (CAD and Revit) and performing acoustical calculations and document and analyse sound and noise mitigations with other critical design factors
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Skillsets
Possess key acoustical design software skills like CAD modelling and other 3D acoustics models (CADNA-A & CADNA-B, Excel, AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, etc.)
