About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Engineer to generate recent business opportunities for our industrial automation solutions. The role is primarily field-oriented, with a robust focus on industrial/site visits, lead generation, customer meetings, and sales conversion.

Key Responsibilities
Generate current leads through regular industrial and site visits across Chennai and nearby industrial areas.
Identify potential customers and understand their automation, electrical, and engineering requirements.
Meet with maintenance, electrical, automation, production, engineering, and procurement teams.
Develop new customer relationships and expand the existing customer base.
Generate enquiries through field visits, cold calling, LinkedIn, email, references, and networking.
Promote PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFDs, control panels, MCC panels, retrofit, commissioning, and automation services.




Coordinate with the technical team to develop suitable solutions and quotations.
Follow up on enquiries and quotations and convert opportunities into orders.
Maintain a proper sales pipeline and report customer visits, leads, enquiries, and opportunities.
Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales targets.

Requirements
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, E&I;, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields.
1–3 years of experience in industrial sales, automation, electrical products, or technical business development.
Basic understanding of industrial automation products and systems.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Solid field-sales and customer relationship skills.
Willingness to travel for regular industrial visits.
Target-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.
Valid driving licence preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
