Overview:

Buyer AUTOMOTIVE WIRING HARNESS SOURCING & SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
Source and develop suppliers for wiring harness components, including connectors, terminals, seals, wires, tapes, clips, sleeves, battery terminals, and plastic parts.
Manage RFQs, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and cost-reduction activities.
Drive localization and alternate-source development.
Support current-program sourcing from RFQ through SOP.
Coordinate with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program teams.
Monitor supplier performance for Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Capacity.
Ensure timely PPAP, APQP, and material availability for production launches.

Qualifications:

Education
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical,



Automobile, or Production Engineering.
MBA in Supply Chain or Operations preferred.

Essential skills:
Required Skills
Strong automotive purchasing and supplier-management experience.
Expertise in supplier negotiation, cost analysis, and strategic sourcing.
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and SAP/ERP systems.
Experience in localization and current-supplier development.
