STORE MANAGER
Job Description
Position Overview
The Store Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, inventory, procurement coordination, stock control, and overall administration of the school/group’s stores. The role ensures that all required materials are available on time, properly recorded, securely stored, and issued efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the store and ensure smooth functioning.
Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, transfers, and balances.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of essential materials.
Receive, inspect, and verify materials against purchase orders and invoices.
Ensure proper storage, labelling, categorisation, and secure custody of all materials.
Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Administration, Principals, and departments regarding material requirements.
Issue stationery, uniforms, teaching materials, housekeeping supplies, and other items as per approved requirements.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.
Identify slow-moving, excess, damaged, or obsolete stock and report to management.
Maintain proper documentation for purchase, receipt, issue, return, and disposal of materials.
Ensure compliance with approved store procedures,
internal controls, and safety standards.
Monitor vendor deliveries and coordinate for discrepancies, shortages, or replacements.
Prepare regular inventory reports, stock statements, and management reports.
Maintain cleanliness, security, and proper organisation of the store premises.
Lead and supervise store assistants and support staff.
Implement systems to minimise wastage, pilferage, stock discrepancies, and unnecessary expenditure.

Ideal Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification preferred.
5–8 years of experience in store/inventory management.
Experience in schools, educational institutions, corporate organisations, or multi-unit operations is an advantage.
Knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
