We’re looking for a Principal Architect to lead the technical architecture and evolution of Eicore’s insurance technology platforms. Own the technical vision and architecture roadmap in partnership with product and business leadership.
Own deployment and infrastructure strategy across Docker, Docker Compose, GitHub Actions CI/CD, and DigitalOcean.
Define the organisation’s AI/LLM strategy, including Claude and OpenAI integration, model selection, cost governance, and appropriate handling of sensitive data.
Establish security, data-protection, and compliance practices appropriate for an insurance business.
Set engineering standards across TypeScript services, Prisma/PostgreSQL, OpenAPI/Zod contracts, React frontends, testing, observability, and code quality.
Manage, mentor, and grow mid-level and senior engineers through 1:1s, career development, and performance feedback.
Drive engineering priorities across technical debt, feature development, and long-term platform investment to meet business goals.
Partner with product, design, actuarial, claims,



and other business teams on technology and platform decisions.
10 - 15 years of software engineering experience , with robust experience in architecture and technical leadership.
~ Strong full-stack technical background in TypeScript and modern web architectures .
~ Proven experience designing and scaling microservices-based platforms .
~ Experience owning CI/CD, containerisation using Docker and Docker Compose, and cloud deployments on DigitalOcean or similar platforms.
~ Experience setting direction for AI/LLM integration , including Claude and OpenAI, at a product or platform level.
~ Strong understanding of database architecture, API contract design, and testing strategy .
~ Ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with architecture and leadership responsibilities.

Experience with Bun, Biome, Vite, and modern monorepo tooling .
