About this Role:
What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL and PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, and triggers
- Administer Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra databases across environments
- Perform database performance tuning and query optimisation
- Manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery processes
- Execute database upgrades, migrations, and deployment activities
- Troubleshoot production incidents and provide timely resolution
- Manage database security, user access, and compliance requirements including auditing and SOX activities
- Deliver automation using Shell or Python scripting to improve operational efficiency
- Participate in on-call support for high-priority database issues
- Support DML operations and ensure service availability
- Prepare technical documentation and contribute to continuous service improvement
