Role Summary:
Billing is the documentary aspect of the work done, through which payments are made to the concerned person or contractor as per the agreed contract. It holds financial accountability for the completion of work. Incomplete or inaccurate billing can cause losses to the contractor or the client; hence, bills must be precise, transparent, and accurate at every stage of the work.
All bills from work sites are to be prepared in a standard printed format as per company policy.
The Billing Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and balancing the income generation and progress of the project by verifying and processing billing-related documentation with efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify RA bills, final bills, subcontractor bills, and client bills as per project progress.
- Prepare quantity sheets from in office data and drawings.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and bills with item rates from tenders.
- Process and check subcontractor and vendor bills for accuracy and completeness.
- Take and verify site measurements from the site engineer.
- Ensure billing formats and protocols are followed as per company standards.
- Coordinate with the accounts department for payment follow-ups.
- Review and cross-check the quantities of listed items and material usage.
- Handle rate analysis, cost verification, and reconciliation of quantities.
