SKS Veterinary Hospital is looking for compassionate and responsible nurses who are interested in building a meaningful career in veterinary healthcare.

The Veterinary Staff Nurse will assist veterinarians during consultations, routine clinical procedures, emergency care, inpatient treatment, ICU monitoring, surgeries and patient recovery.

Key ResponsibilitiesConsultation and Outpatient Care
- Prepare consultation rooms, instruments and required medical supplies.
- Assist veterinarians during routine consultations and clinical examinations.
- Safely handle and position dogs and cats during examinations and procedures.
- Record the pet’s weight, temperature, pulse, respiration and other vital parameters.
- Collect basic patient information and support clinical documentation.
- Assist during vaccinations, injections, dressing, bandaging and minor procedures.
- Support veterinarians during blood collection and sample collection.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, scans and laboratory tests.




- Maintain consultation records and update treatment details accurately.
- Clean and prepare the consultation room after every patient.

Inpatient, ICU and Emergency Care
- Monitor animals admitted to the ICU and inpatient wards.
- Administer prescribed medications, injections and IV fluids under veterinary supervision.
- Record patient observations, treatment details and vital signs.
- Monitor food intake, water intake, urine output and overall patient condition.
- Immediately report any changes in the patient’s health to the veterinarian.
- Assist with oxygen therapy, nebulisation, wound care and emergency procedures.
- Comfort and safely manage frightened, injured or critically ill animals.

Surgical Assistance and Recovery
- Prepare patients, surgical instruments and the operation theatre.
- Assist veterinarians during surgical and minor clinical procedures.
- Follow sterilisation and infection-control protocols.
