Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and resilient Major Incident Manager to drive the rapid restoration of highpriority IT services In this role you will lead the response to critical IT outages coordinating across crossfunctional technical teams to minimize business impact and ensure seamless operational continuity during standard India business hours
Key Responsibilities
Incident Leadership Command and drive the resolution of Priority 1 P1 and Priority 2 P2 major incidents from detection through to restoration
Stakeholder Communication Craft and distribute explicit concise and timely updates to business stakeholders and executive leadership regarding incident status impact and ETA for resolution
Process Compliance Ensure the Major Incident Management process is strictly followed in alignment with ITIL best practices
PostIncident Management Ensure appropriate data is captured during the incident to facilitate smooth handovers to the Problem Management team for Root Cause Analysis RCA
Required Qualifications Skills
Experience 4 years of dedicated experience in Incident Management specifically managing highpressure Major Incidents in an enterprise environment
Process Knowledge Strong understanding of the ITIL framework ITIL v4 Certification is a major plus
Tools Handson proficiency with IT Service Management ITSM tools such as ServiceNow Jira Service Management or Remedy
Communication Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical jargon into clear business updates
Leadership Proven ability to command authority manage conflict and maintain composure under intense pressure during critical outages
