Key SkillsRole & responsibilities
Examine, diagnose, and treat infants, children, and adolescents.
Monitor physical, mental, and developmental growth.
Manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
Provide vaccinations and preventive healthcare.
Conduct routine pediatric health assessments.
Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations.
Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Identify developmental, nutritional, behavioral, and growth-related concerns.
Provide emergency care when required.
Counsel parents and caregivers regarding nutrition, hygiene, vaccinations, and child development.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
Coordinate care with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare specialists.
Follow hospital/clinic policies, medical guidelines, and patient-safety standards.

Qualifications




Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
Postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics, such as MD/DNB Pediatrics or equivalent.
Valid medical registration/licensure.
Relevant clinical experience in pediatrics is preferred.
Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with children and their parents/caregivers.
