Position Summary

The Assistant Professor is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring students, contributing to academic planning, and supporting the overall development of the department and institution. The role involves classroom teaching, preparation of lesson plans, conducting assessments, student guidance, academic administration, and participation in institutional activities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Handle classes for B.Com, BBA, and MBA students as assigned by the Management / Head of Department.
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in accordance with the university syllabus and academic calendar.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, PPTs, assignments, case studies, and notes for effective classroom delivery.
- Ensure completion of the syllabus within the prescribed timeline.




- Adopt creative teaching methodologies to improve student understanding, engagement, and academic performance.
- Conduct bridge classes, remedial classes, revision sessions, and special coaching for weak students whenever required.
- Encourage student participation, classroom interaction, presentations, and discussions.

2. Student Support & Mentoring
- Act as a mentor / class teacher for assigned students and monitor their academic progress, attendance, discipline, and overall development.
- Guide students in academic, behavioural, and career-related matters.
- Counsel students with poor attendance, weak performance, or behavioural concerns and coordinate with parents/guardians whenever required.
- Maintain regular interaction with students and support them in project work, seminars, internships, and placement-related activities.

3. Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare question papers, assignments
