Role OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Functional QA Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications through both manual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality software that meets functional and business requirements.This is a full-time, Hybrid role with office base locations in Canada / USA / India (Bangalore / Chennai).Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute test plans, test cases, and checklists covering functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testingDevelop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright + Python following the Page Object Model (POM) patternPerform end-to-end testing of Angular-based Single Page Applications (SPAs)Validate REST APIs using Playwright API testing, Postman,



or similar toolsPerform database validation using SQL queries to verify backend data integrityIntegrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps / Jenkins)Log clear, reproducible bug reports with steps, screenshots, and logs; track through resolution via Jira / Azure DevOpsPerform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure consistent UI behaviorActively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectivesRequired Skills & Experience3+ years of experience in Manual TestingHands-on experience automating tests using Playwright + Python (Mandatory)Solid understanding of API Testing — Postman / REST Assured / similar toolsWorking knowledge of SQL for database validationExperience testing across UI, Microservices, and Backend/DB layersGood understanding of STLC, Defect Lifecycle, and Agile MethodologyFamiliarity with Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS to understand front-end behavior and write accurate test selectorsExperience with CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution.Preferred SkillsDomain knowledge in Credit Risk / Banking / Financial Services
