ETL Developer

C&F; is looking for a passionate ETL Developer for our Snowflake implementation project, with experience using dbt (Data Build Tool), Snowflake and Python. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust ETL/ELT solutions to extract, transform and load data from various source systems into a Snowflake data warehouse.Responsibilities:Collaborate with Business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutionsDesign, develop, document, test, optimize and troubleshoot ETL/ELT solutions using Python and DBTEnhance existing code by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas of modification and improvementIdentify and proactively resolve issues that could impact system performance, reliability, and usabilityDevelop and maintain ETL documentation, including technical specifications, data mappings,



and data lineagePerform data profiling and data quality analysis to ensure that ETL processes are accurate and reliableTroubleshoot and resolve ETL issues and errorsDevelop and maintain data integration and data transformation best practices and standardsKeep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in ETL technologies and toolsRequirements:3+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration solutions using dbt, SSIS or any other ETL/ELT tool3+ years of database development experience using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or any other RDBMS2+ years of Python experienceStrong knowledge of SQL/T-SQL/PL-SQL, Query Optimization, and data management skillsExperience with code versioning tools such as Git or stashExperience in Data warehouse development; Logical and Physical Database design & developmentExperience with BI tools such as SSRS/SSAS or Tableau would be a plusExcellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to think outside of the box and propose innovative solutionsExperience with any cloud data warehouse would be plusExperience with Snowflake data warehouse would be a big plusExperience with dbt would be a big plusExperience working in an agile setting would be a plusWork experience related to the Insurance vertical would be a plusExcellent written and oral communication skills
