Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and autonomous Azure Dev Ops Consultant to join a large-scale enterprise migration initiative for a global client. In this role, you will lead complex VCS-to-cloud repository migrations, build customized CI/CD pipeline solutions, and resolve deep technical roadblocks under ambiguity across massive codebases.

Key Responsibilities

- VCS & Repository Migrations: Drive end-to-end source code migrations across various Version Control Systems (Git Lab, Git Hub Enterprise Server, Azure Dev Ops, Bitbucket, Perforce, Subversion, Clear Case) to cloud targets.
- Runner & Pipeline Customization: Evaluate, design, and configure tailored Git Hub Actions runners and Azure Dev Ops pipelines to meet specific software and workplace requirements for different business units.
- Authentication & Security Integrations: Configure deployment pipelines to integrate and authenticate securely with on-premises Artifactory instances using OpenID Connect (OIDC).
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Autonomously diagnose root causes for pipeline and migration tooling failures across complex repositories.
- Git System Limit Resolution:



Identify and resolve repository size or Git LFS issues blocking migration waves, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and updating migration playbooks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate technical decisions, migration playbooks, and PoCs clearly and assertively to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Technical Requirements

- Source Control (VCS): Deep experience with Git-based platforms (Git Hub, Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops) and legacy/enterprise VCS systems (Bitbucket, Perforce, SVN, Clear Case).
- CI/CD Automation: Hands-on experience building and troubleshooting pipelines in Git Hub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Git Lab CI, or Jenkins.
- Authentication & Scripting: Strong understanding of OIDC authentication, artifact management (Artifactory), and Power Shell / Bash scripting.
- Migration Tools: Hands-on experience managing Git LFS limits, repository cleanup, and automated code migration utilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working on large-scale enterprise cloud or VCS migration programs.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and drive technical solutions when initial requirements are unclear or incomplete.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
